Europe’s largest waterpark manufacturer announces a broad raft of measures to help decarbonise the amusements industry.
Polin Waterparks have announced a new initiative to become net-zero, launching a project codenamed ‘‘Bright’’.
The company is aiming to achieve solutions with their experience for more sustainable amusement facilities. Their “Bright” vision claims to feature engineering solutions for sustainable facilities, integrated services for energy and water intelligence. This will help them to achieve their net-zero emissions target.
Polin Waterparks state they will achieve net-zero status by introducing a new corporate roadmap.
This starts with a new internal and external corporate strategy that the company expects will set the tone of their overarching philosophy.
This will be followed by a roadmap towards Net-Zero of Polin Waterparks that they say will set their ambition in the following steps:
- Re-engineering of Polin Waterparks’ processes and activities to counter Scope 1 & 2 emissions
- greening of their supply chain to minimise Scope 3 emissions
- creating a range of new sustainable products developed under our Bright line
Polin Waterparks say they are developing KPIs (key performance indicators) that will help assess the carbon footprint of a waterpark. The company claims this will help the amusement industry to pinpoint emissions and focus more on commitments, strategies and action planning towards net-zero.
Polin was founded in Istanbul in 1976. Polin has completed more than 3,500 waterpark projects in 109 countries around the world and is the biggest water slide supplier in Eurasia.
