Cambridge Future Tech founds deep tech ventures, collaborating with Universities to create and develop companies at the cutting edge of science. They created Dew Point Systems Ltd in collaboration with the University of Hull in order to develop green super cooling technologies. After fifteen years of development and refinement the technology is coming to commercial markets. This high performance technology is set to have a huge impact in the cooling technology space by slashing running costs.

Dr Xiaoli Ma, Senior Research Fellow at the University of Hull, shares the principles of the technology: ‘Through a series of technological breakthroughs, we have developed a super performance dew point cooler which significantly improves efficiency compared to existing technologies. Dew point cooling technology cools the air using the principle of water evaporation, leading to significant energy savings compared to conventional systems.’

A Sustainable Solution to Data Centre Cooling

The data centre industry is continuing to rapidly expand, and as a result, so is the demand for energy efficient cooling technologies. The UK expects an additional 100 data centres to be built in the next five years, plus continued expansion across Europe. Dew Point Systems sustainable cooling technology is particularly relevant during this period of rapid growth. Real world testing of Dew Point Systems shows it delivers close to zero carbon cooling.
