Used Kitchen Hub Named in UK’s Green Growth 100

Used Kitchen Hub has been selected as one of the UK’s Green Growth 100, an initiative launched by Small Business Britain in partnership with BT to recognise small businesses using sustainability as a central driver of commercial growth.

The Green Growth 100 brings together one hundred small businesses from across the UK that are embedding environmentally responsible practices into their operations. The initiative focuses on companies that are cutting waste and energy use, rethinking supply chains, attracting new customers and building long-term resilience through sustainability-led business models.

Founded in 2015, Used Kitchen Hub is led by Daniel and Alyson Abrahams. The company specialises in rescuing pre-loved and ex-display kitchens and giving them a second life in new homes, reducing waste while creating a commercially viable circular model in the home improvement sector.

By diverting kitchens from disposal and facilitating their resale and reinstallation, the business addresses material waste in a sector where refurbishment and replacement often result in high volumes of discarded cabinetry and fittings. The model demonstrates how extending product lifecycles can align environmental considerations with revenue growth.

Commenting on the recognition, Daniel Abrahams said: “Being named in the Green Growth 100 is a real honour for us. Sustainability has always been at the heart of Used Kitchen Hub, and this recognition shows that doing the right thing for the environment can also drive growth and innovation. We’re proud to demonstrate that giving kitchens a second life not only reduces waste but also creates real value for our customers and our business.”

Small Business Britain launched the Green Growth 100 to showcase enterprises that are integrating sustainability into their core strategy rather than treating it as a peripheral activity. The initiative reflects increasing policy and market attention on how smaller companies can contribute to emissions reduction, resource efficiency and responsible consumption while remaining competitive.

Michelle Ovens CBE, CEO and Founder of Small Business Britain, said: “The Green Growth 100 celebrates the small businesses that are showing sustainability and growth go hand in hand. These businesses are not only reducing their environmental impact, but also strengthening their operations, engaging customers, and building more resilient business models. Used Kitchen Hub is a brilliant example of how sustainability can fuel long-term success.”

BT is supporting the initiative as part of its wider engagement with small and medium-sized enterprises seeking to reduce environmental impact while scaling their operations. The Green Growth 100 aims to provide visibility to businesses demonstrating measurable environmental progress alongside commercial performance.

Chris Sims, Chief Commercial Officer, UK Business, at BT, added: “The businesses in the Green Growth 100 are setting the benchmark for how sustainability can unlock innovation and commercial opportunity. It’s inspiring to see how small businesses across the UK are turning greener practices into real business growth. We’re proud to support this initiative and congratulate Used Kitchen Hub on being recognised.”

As a business featured in the Green Growth 100, Used Kitchen Hub will also be eligible for the Green Growth Awards, hosted by BT on 12 March 2026. Two standout businesses from the cohort will receive a £5,000 grant to help scale their sustainability ambitions and continue developing their operations.

Recognition through programmes such as the Green Growth 100 comes at a time when circular economy approaches are gaining traction across the UK. Reducing material waste and extending product lifespans are seen as key components in meeting national net zero targets and improving resource efficiency.

Used Kitchen Hub’s inclusion in the list positions it among a cohort of small enterprises seeking to demonstrate that environmental responsibility can sit at the centre of business growth. By building its model around reuse and resale, the company contributes to reducing unnecessary waste while offering an alternative route for consumers seeking more affordable and lower-impact home renovation options.

The Green Growth 100 initiative will continue to spotlight participating businesses throughout the year, with the awards ceremony in March 2026 marking the next stage of recognition for companies driving growth through sustainability-led practice.
