V-Green Indonesia and PT HK Realtindo, known as HKR, have signed an agreement to develop an integrated electric vehicle charging hub in Kemayoran, Central Jakarta. V-Green will lease an 8,747-square-metre HKR-owned site for the project, which is scheduled to begin operations in October 2026. The facility is planned to include 36 EV chargers and 20 electric motorcycle battery swapping stations, serving up to 56 electric cars and 220 electric motorcycles simultaneously. The development gives Indonesia a substantial new charging destination while presenting a practical model for bringing underutilised urban land into the country’s transport electrification effort.
A Large Scale Urban Hub
The Kemayoran site is designed as a multi-service hub rather than a conventional charging location. Alongside fast charging for electric cars and battery swapping for electric motorcycles, it will provide dedicated parking for commercial fleets, rest areas, food and beverage outlets, and cafés.
Rooftop solar panels are also planned to supplement on-site renewable energy generation. Bringing these functions together at one location is intended to support private EV drivers, ride-hailing drivers and fleet operators, reflecting the varied requirements of Jakarta’s road users.
The project is part of a strategic collaboration between V-Green and Hutama Karya Group, HKR’s parent company. For HKR, the lease arrangement offers a route to generate long-term revenue from strategically located real estate while supporting new low-emission transport infrastructure.
Mr. Ekwan Hadyanto, President Director of PT HK Realtindo, said:
“Our partnership with V-Green opens up new opportunities to maximize the value of HK Realtindo’s land assets while demonstrating our commitment to supporting the Indonesian Government’s efforts to accelerate sustainable transportation infrastructure. We expect the Kemayoran project to become the foundation for expanding our collaboration across many other strategic locations nationwide.”
Building On An Earlier Agreement
The Kemayoran agreement follows a Memorandum of Understanding signed by V-Green Indonesia and Hutama Karya Group in April 2026. That agreement set out plans to explore EV Charging Hubs on Hutama Karya’s strategic land assets and to develop charging infrastructure across 29 rest areas on the Trans-Sumatra Toll Road.
V-Green plans to deploy EV chargers across those 29 rest areas during the next stage of the partnership. The programme would create a charging network along one of Indonesia’s major highway corridors, improving the practicality of longer EV journeys and connecting charging infrastructure with existing road travel patterns.
For the partners, the model is particularly suited to larger land parcels. It combines land use with transport services, offering a repeatable structure for sites where charging capacity, parking, amenities and renewable electricity generation can be brought together.
Infrastructure For Diverse Users
The planned Kemayoran hub recognises that Indonesia’s electric mobility market includes both four-wheeled and two-wheeled vehicles. With 20 battery swapping stations alongside its car charging provision, the site is set to accommodate electric motorcycle users as well as commercial drivers and passenger EV owners.
Its capacity to serve 56 electric cars and 220 electric motorcycles simultaneously positions the development as a significant operational asset for a dense urban district. Dedicated fleet parking also brings commercial activity into the model, allowing operators to use charging facilities alongside the site’s wider services.
Mr. Mai Truong Giang, CEO of V-Green Indonesia, said:
“Signing this agreement with PT HK Realtindo marks an important milestone in realizing V-Green’s strategy to develop EV infrastructure throughout Indonesia. We believe the EV Charging Hub model will not only meet the country’s rapidly growing demand for EV charging but also create sustainable value for V-Green’s partners while contributing to Indonesia’s green transition.”
A Replicable National Model
V-Green expects the Kemayoran project to operate as a flagship integrated charging hub model in Indonesia, with scope to replicate the concept at other strategic HK Group locations. The partnership with Hutama Karya, described as one of Indonesia’s largest infrastructure groups, gives the initiative a platform for wider deployment across the country.
Globally, V-Green’s charging network comprises more than 150,000 charging ports, alongside battery swapping stations for electric motorcycles. In Indonesia, the company has introduced free charging for VinFast electric car owners and a complimentary battery swapping programme for VinFast electric motorcycles for one year, with up to 20 battery swaps per vehicle each month.
The Kemayoran hub brings together charging, swapping, solar generation and customer facilities in a single development. As the partners consider further sites and the Trans-Sumatra Toll Road programme progresses, the agreement provides a clear example of how landowners and charging providers can jointly expand the infrastructure needed for electric transport.
