Schneider Electric and the Tottenham Hotspur Foundation are launching the Schneider Electric STEM programme, a transformative initiative designed to equip primary school pupils with essential skills for the future. Set to begin in the summer term of 2025, the programme will spark curiosity and creativity through interactive learning.
Schneider Electric STEM Programme Brings STEM to Life
Twelve local primary schools will take part in the Schneider Electric STEM programme. It integrates real-world problem-solving into the National Curriculum. The programme covers key topics like:
Students will engage in hands-on workshops and immersive Challenge Days. These activities foster teamwork, critical thinking, and problem-solving. Schneider Electric’s employees will volunteer to support the sessions, offering industry insights and mentorship.

Empowering Educators and Students Through the Schneider Electric STEM Programme
A vital part of the programme is the Learning Management System (LMS). This digital platform provides students and teachers with resources, tutorials, and ongoing learning opportunities. To ensure long-term impact, training sessions will equip teachers with tools to inspire and guide their pupils in STEM subjects.
A Grand Finale at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium
The nine-week Schneider Electric STEM programme will conclude with an exciting ‘Finals Day’ at F1Ò DRIVE London. This is the world’s first in-stadium electric karting facility, located beneath Tottenham Hotspur Stadium’s South Stand. Students will showcase their skills and apply their newfound knowledge in a high-tech setting.
Schneider Electric STEM Programme Supports a Sustainable Future
This initiative builds on Schneider Electric’s ongoing partnership with Tottenham Hotspur Football Club. The company helps operate and maintain one of the most technologically advanced stadiums in the world. The stadium is powered entirely by renewable energy and has been named the greenest club in the Premier League for five consecutive years since 2020.
Kelly Becker, President, Schneider Electric UK and Ireland, Belgium, and Netherlands, emphasized the importance of early STEM engagement. She stated, “We need to inspire talent from an early age if we are truly going to harness the potential of the energy transition. Our work with Tottenham Hotspur highlights the huge opportunities these skills have on creating positive and impactful environmental change, and we are excited to expand our partnership to educate and empower the local community on this. Initiatives such as these will prove vital in equipping the next generation with the skills needed to develop scalable, equitable, and efficient energy solutions for a sustainable future.”
Andrew Wands, Education Manager at the Tottenham Hotspur Foundation, shared a similar perspective. He said, “We’re really excited to launch this programme in collaboration with Schneider Electric. Our goal is to create a stimulating environment in which local students can explore STEM subjects in hands-on and engaging ways, as part of our wider work helping young people prepare for their futures.”
Why the Schneider Electric STEM Programme Matters
This Schneider Electric STEM programme comes at a crucial time. Industries worldwide face a growing demand for skilled professionals in science and technology. Reports show that the UK has a significant STEM skills gap. Employers struggle to fill roles in engineering, sustainability, and digital industries.
Investing in early STEM education helps bridge this gap. It ensures the next generation has the knowledge and skills needed for innovation and sustainability. Businesses, communities, and policymakers must work together to foster STEM engagement from a young age. Doing so is essential for securing a prosperous and sustainable future.
A Model for Industry Collaboration
The partnership between Schneider Electric and the Tottenham Hotspur Foundation sets a strong example. It demonstrates how businesses and community organizations can collaborate for lasting impact. By combining expertise in energy management with educational outreach, the Schneider Electric STEM programme enhances learning opportunities. It also showcases the real-world applications of STEM in addressing environmental and technological challenges.
As the initiative unfolds, it will inspire the next generation of scientists, engineers, and innovators. Their skills will help shape a more sustainable and technologically advanced world.
