Crown Worldwide Marks 60 Years with Global Giving Drive

A Legacy of Compassion and Connection

30 October 2025 – To celebrate its 60th anniversary, Crown Worldwide Group has reported outstanding global results from its Giving Back Together initiative, a company-wide volunteering campaign that has united thousands of employees around a shared commitment to community, education, and climate action.

Rooted in the philanthropic values of Founder and Chairman Jim Thompson, the initiative reflects Crown’s long-standing belief that business success must go hand in hand with social responsibility. Over the past year, Crown employees worldwide contributed nearly 4,500 volunteer hours through more than 50 community activities, embodying a culture of giving that has defined the company since its founding.

“Giving back has shaped who we are, and it continues to guide where we’re headed,” said Jennifer Harvey, Group CEO of Crown Worldwide. “As we celebrate 60 years of Crown, we celebrate not just our business achievements, but the positive change we’ve helped create.”

A Global “Diamond Relay” for Good

The Giving Back Together campaign took the form of a “Diamond Relay”, a global initiative in which each Crown office dedicated a week to local fundraising and volunteering before passing the baton to the next location. Aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) on Quality Education and Climate Action, the campaign mobilized teams across every region where Crown operates, reinforcing its global footprint with a deeply local impact.

The company supports volunteering as an integral part of its culture, offering every employee 16 hours of paid volunteer leave annually. The approach has fostered strong participation, with offices devising creative, community-centered projects that combine education, environment, and empowerment.

Local Action, Global Impact

Each region found its own way to contribute, reflecting the diversity of Crown’s global presence.

Vietnam: Country Manager Jamie Rossall led a 340-kilometre fundraising cycle over three days in support of the Saigon Children’s Charity, helping fund school construction, vocational training, and special needs education. The Vietnam team also organized a charity auction to further support educational access.

Malaysia: Crown Malaysia raised funds for Buku Jalanan Chow Kit, an NGO that provides education and healthcare access for stateless and underprivileged children. The donations will help refurbish community shelters and expand educational programs.

India: In Kolkata, Crown’s Information Management team donated school supplies, clothing, and refreshments to students at Seoraphuli Netaji Vidya Mandir Primary School, creating an uplifting day of learning and connection.

Middle East: Employees partnered with Thrift for Good to promote circular economy principles, collecting preloved items to fund education initiatives via Gulf for Good. They also raised funds for Dubai Cares, which supports education programs in developing countries.

United Kingdom: The Enfield office held a light-hearted “Wear Your PJs to Work” fundraiser for the Waverley Association for Special People, supporting inclusive education. Team members also volunteered with RedSTART, delivering financial literacy lessons to primary school students.

Across all regions, employees found creative ways to merge social purpose with team collaboration — from charity drives to environmental clean-ups — demonstrating that corporate volunteering can be both impactful and unifying.

Strengthening Culture Through Purpose

While Giving Back Together generated measurable social and environmental benefits, its internal impact was equally significant. The initiative helped to strengthen bonds between colleagues, fostering teamwork across regions and departments.

By connecting employees to both their communities and one another, the program reinforced Crown’s global culture of empathy, responsibility, and inclusion. Leaders described the effort as a catalyst for learning, engagement, and performance — aligning employee purpose with corporate values.

“Jim Thompson’s philosophy of giving back has inspired generations of Crown employees,” said Harvey. “This campaign showed that those values are not just part of our history, but an active part of how we grow.”

A Model for Sustainable Corporate Citizenship

Crown’s 60th anniversary year comes at a time when corporations worldwide are rethinking how they measure success. The Giving Back Together initiative exemplifies how established global businesses can embed sustainability and community engagement into their core strategy rather than treating them as peripheral programs.

By linking volunteerism to the SDGs and focusing on education and climate action, Crown’s approach aligns with the growing expectation that companies contribute meaningfully to the global good — not just through philanthropy, but through shared responsibility and employee empowerment.

From Asia Pacific to Europe, the Middle East, and North America, Crown teams continue to demonstrate that global operations can also be platforms for positive social impact. The campaign’s success suggests that the company’s legacy of compassion — instilled by its founder six decades ago — remains a living part of its identity today.

As Crown looks to the future, Giving Back Together has become more than a celebration of past achievements; it stands as a blueprint for sustainable corporate culture — one built on unity, purpose, and the enduring power of giving.
