Company highlights sustainable innovation at Fachpack 2025
Amcor, a global leader in responsible packaging, will present its latest innovations at Fachpack 2025 in Nuremberg, Germany, with a strong focus on sustainability alongside aesthetics and functionality. From reusable consumer products to high-performance industrial films, the company’s showcase illustrates how packaging can adapt to rising environmental expectations while meeting practical needs across multiple sectors.
Philipp Richter, sales director Food Central Europe for Amcor Rigid Packaging Solutions International, said the event comes at a crucial time for the industry:
“Sustainability remains a major consideration for companies in all their packaging developments, but at the same time, elements such as functionality, consumer convenience, aesthetics and branding are also essential requirements. Fachpack provides an excellent opportunity to focus on the many ways we can support our customers in the creation of packaging solutions across a diverse range of markets.”

Reusable and recyclable consumer solutions
Among the highlights at Stand 310, Hall 6, is Amcor’s newly launched range of reusable cups and lids. Designed for both takeaway and on-site use, the cups are dishwasher safe, lightweight, and durable, offering consumers a premium-quality alternative to single-use packaging. At end of life, the cups can be recycled where appropriate facilities exist, aligning with the EU’s circular economy directives.
Amcor will also feature new closure technologies, including the Modena Flip Top TE closure. This mono-material solution offers improved recyclability while integrating tamper-evident features directly into the design. Available in multiple orifice sizes, the closure ensures controlled pouring and consumer convenience while reducing material complexity, a key step toward recycling efficiency.
Other closure innovations on display include lightweight designs for sauces, dressings, and edible oils, underscoring how incremental design changes can reduce plastic use while maintaining performance.
Lightweighting and circular design
Packaging weight reduction remains a central theme across Amcor’s rigid container portfolio. Initiatives include lightweighted food containers, mono-material packs with robust plastic handles to enhance recyclability, and solutions that incorporate recycled plastic content.
The company will also showcase the Politainer, a hybrid packaging solution for chemicals, pharmaceuticals, inks, and cosmetics. Combining a polyethylene liner with a sturdy cardboard outer, the Politainer reduces plastic weight by up to 75 percent compared to rigid alternatives. The design also improves logistics efficiency, as empty containers can be shipped flat.
Advances in flexible packaging
Amcor’s flexible packaging range spans food, health, wellness, beauty, and industrial markets. At Fachpack, the company will highlight advanced industrial films containing post-consumer recycled (PCR) material. This includes the NorDiVent® ventilated Form-Fill-Seal (FFS) film, which can incorporate up to 50 percent PCR content while maintaining dust- and moisture-free storage for powder-based products.
Other flexible solutions include single-wound sheets and FFS films with high PCR content, as well as recyclable mono-material laminates for food and beverage packaging. By replacing traditional multi-material laminates, these films balance recyclability with shelf appeal, sealing integrity, and product protection.
Logistics and load protection
Amcor will also present its stretch hood and stretch wrap films for pallet protection and stabilization. The stretch hood range includes options with up to 30 percent PCR content, designed to combine puncture resistance and holding force with optical clarity for branding and barcodes.
Bontite®, a blown stretch wrap film, offers up to 300 percent stretch with selected grades containing PCR content. Its reduced thickness supports material savings without compromising load stability. Stratos™, a cast stretch wrap, provides an ultra-lightweight option for high-volume applications, demonstrating how material innovation can cut virgin plastic use while maintaining performance.
A focus on circular packaging
Amcor’s Fachpack showcase reflects broader industry pressures. The European Union’s Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation (PPWR) is setting ambitious new targets for recycled content, reuse, and recyclability, with many companies seeking packaging partners capable of delivering innovation at scale.
By combining reusable formats, lightweight design, mono-material solutions, and high PCR content, Amcor positions itself at the center of packaging’s transition toward a circular economy. Its CleanStream® technology, enabling mechanically recycled polypropylene for contact-sensitive applications, further strengthens this positioning, addressing one of the toughest challenges in plastics recycling.
For brands across food, beverage, and industrial markets, Amcor’s presence at Fachpack underscores the increasing need to balance sustainability with performance, branding, and consumer convenience.
