Amcor will present its food and drink packaging portfolio at CibusTec 2026 in Parma, Italy, from 27 to 30 October, with a focus on sustainability, performance and consumer-facing design. Exhibiting in Hall 2, stand D 062, the packaging manufacturer will showcase rigid packs, closures and specialty formats for food and beverage applications. The display will include lightweight PET bottles and jars, tubs, pots, canisters, thermoformed trays and cups. Amcor will also introduce UniPak Luma, a lightweight polypropylene packaging platform for dairy and food products.
Packaging For Food Applications
The CibusTec presentation will cover formats intended to preserve freshness and extend shelf life across a broad range of products. Amcor’s lightweight PET bottles and jars are designed for juices, dairy, water, carbonated drinks and sauces, while tubs, pots and canisters are aimed at dairy, spreads and confectionery.
Thermoformed trays and cups will also form part of the exhibition, with applications including yogurts, snacks and ready meals. By bringing these formats together at a food and drink technology show, the company is placing product-specific packaging requirements alongside material efficiency, shelf appeal and functionality.
The company’s stand will give visitors an opportunity to examine how different rigid packaging formats can be matched with distinct food and beverage categories. This includes products intended for chilled, ambient and dry applications, where format selection can affect handling, presentation and pack performance.
Preparing For PPWR Requirements
A central part of Amcor’s CibusTec programme will be support for businesses considering the EU’s Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation, known as PPWR. Its technical and commercial teams will be available at the stand to help visitors assess packaging formats in relation to the regulation.
For food and drink brands, regulatory alignment is becoming an increasingly practical consideration in packaging development. Amcor will use the exhibition to discuss areas including post-consumer recycled material integration, recyclability validation and responsible packaging design.
Mirko Todeschi, Sales Director at Amcor, said:
“Our aim is to help customers meet today’s demands while preparing for what’s next. A future-ready approach means that we can adapt to a changing legislative landscape as well as consumer trends. On the stand at CibusTec, Amcor will also demonstrate its expertise in PCR integration, recyclability validation and responsible packaging design.
UniPak Luma Launch
Among the featured products will be the newly launched UniPak Luma platform. The scalable, lightweight format is designed for cold and ambient filled dairy products, chilled food and dry food applications.
UniPak Luma follows the UniPak 1 kg pot, which was unveiled earlier this year. The new container is made entirely from polypropylene, placing material choice at the centre of the platform’s proposition for food producers and brands.
The launch adds to Amcor’s range of rigid food packaging formats, which spans containers designed for products ranging from dairy and spreads to sauces, snacks and ready meals. Its inclusion at CibusTec gives visitors a view of how the platform sits alongside the company’s wider offering in bottles, jars, trays, cups and closures.
A Focus On Practical Choices
Food packaging decisions must account for product protection, consumer presentation and the requirements of the chosen filling and distribution environment. At CibusTec, Amcor will frame its portfolio around those operational considerations while also addressing sustainability and regulation.
The company’s presence is particularly relevant for businesses seeking to consider packaging options across a range of food and beverage categories rather than a single format. With expertise available on stand, visitors will be able to explore material choices and packaging designs aligned with individual products and changing legislative expectations.
Mirko Todeschi, Sales Director at Amcor, stated:
“We have a strong track record in supporting European brands with regulatory-aligned packaging solutions. Along with our on-site technical and commercial experts, Amcor is well prepared for the multiple challenges facing the food and drink sector.”
