
A satellite and AI-powered platform has announced the launch of a new system supposedly designed to aid companies in reaching their sustainability goals; the system is called the Intelligent Sustainability Management System or ISMS.
AiDash developed ISMS over nine months, working with the National Grid Partners Innovation team, and was revealed on the 11th of November during the COP26 UN Climate Change Conference in Glasgow by Stephen Marland, Director of Innovation at National Grid Partners and Abhishek Singh, CEO of AiDash.
ISMS is intended to allow customers to satisfy the biodiversity net gain standards and put an end to the manual land surveys, making the companies more efficient and increase savings.
Abhishek Singh, Co-founder and CEO of AiDash said, “Existing tools and techniques lack the ability to analyse historical data and make data-driven environmental improvements. Our new platform solves this problem, allowing organizations to achieve resource efficiency and implement individual Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).”
The ISMS ‘Land’ module is said to be designed to assist customers in reducing fieldwork using its AI-backed image analysis to map, plan, assess land, and quantify biodiversity. This should enable the planning of sustainable land developments to be carried out more easily.
The ISMS ‘Air’ module measures greenhouse gas emissions through well pads and gas pipelines.
Prem Gabbi, Head of National Grid Property, stated, “Collaborating with AiDash’s satellite-powered Intelligent Sustainability Management System could enable us to make environmental surveys and audits, relatively seamless, while saving weeks of manual labour in the field work.
This means we could efficiently leverage repeatable and transparent satellite data to design optimal strategies for enhancing the biodiversity across c.3500 hectares of non-operational National Grid land in the UK and regularly monitor improvements while reallocating internal resources.”
