The tracker assists businesses in the hospitality industry to calculate their carbon footprint. Data inputs include meter readings and bills, waste reports, transport records and finances. The tracker outputs an estimate of greenhouse gas emissions in kilograms of CO2e within the specified reporting period. Green Tourism offers an online webinar to introduce businesses to the carbon measurement tool. It is available to any tourism and events business.
Achieving ISO 14064-3 Standards
ISO 14064-3 is an international standard for the quantification, monitoring and reporting of greenhouse gas emissions data. Control Union provided independent validation of the Green Business Carbon Tracker as compliant with the ISO14064-3 criteria. It is the world’s first carbon calculator specific to the tourism industry to achieve this status. The ISO certification assures companies that the carbon tracker offers consistent, accurate assessment of carbon emissions.
