TCL will present its connected residential energy offering at IFA 2026 in Berlin, bringing together solar generation, battery storage, heat pumps and household demand through its Inspiration Habitat exhibition. The joint showcase by TCL Industries and TCL Technology spans smart devices, display and clean energy, with the home energy system positioned as a central part of the experience. Visitors will see new SunPower Origin back-contact panels, TCL T5 Pro TOPCon shingled and C2 back-contact panels, alongside residential storage and heat pumps. The exhibition runs in Hall 21A at Messe Berlin from 4 to 8 September 2026, illustrating how the group’s industrial energy experience is being applied to consumer technology.

Connecting Energy At Home

TCL’s IFA presentation places energy management alongside the connected devices increasingly found in modern homes. Its proposition links solar power production with battery storage, heating systems, appliances and smart-home technologies, helping residents view and manage household energy through a single platform.

The Home Energy Management System is designed to connect generation, storage, heating and demand, giving homeowners greater visibility over how energy is produced, stored and consumed. For a manufacturer whose portfolio ranges from televisions and mobile devices to household appliances, the approach offers a coherent link between energy infrastructure and day-to-day domestic technology.

Under the Inspiration Habitat theme, the company will create an immersive space where visitors can explore that relationship across different scenarios. The format reflects a practical view of connected living, in which energy choices sit alongside comfort, convenience and appliance use rather than operating as a separate system.

Solar Products Take Centre Stage

The energy line-up will include residential solutions from SunPower Home Energy and TCL Smart Home. New SunPower Origin back-contact panels will feature alongside TCL’s T5 Pro TOPCon shingled panels and C2 back-contact panels, broadening the company’s photovoltaic offering for households.

Residential battery storage and heat pumps will complete the showcase, demonstrating the technologies that can support a more integrated home energy setup. Rather than focusing only on solar installation, TCL is presenting the combination of generation, storage and thermal demand management as part of a coordinated domestic system.

This matters because the value of household solar increasingly depends on how well it interacts with other equipment in the property. Pairing panels with batteries, electric heating technologies and digitally connected appliances can give households a clearer picture of energy use, while supporting decisions about when power is generated, retained or used.

Industrial Experience In Focus

TCL is also using the exhibition to connect its residential products with its own operations. The company says its factory-scale deployment of solar and storage provides operational learning that can inform the reliability of solutions intended for homes.

Valentina Maggiore, Vice President Marketing, TCL SunPower, said:

“What makes TCL’s energy vision unique is that it begins long before the home. We don’t just develop energy technologies, we deploy them at scale across our own manufacturing operations. In 2025, renewable energy sources, including green electricity and self-generated solar power, accounted for 11.7% of TCL Industries’ energy consumption. Running large-scale solar and storage in our factories gives us practical insights that help to turn our operational experience into more reliable residential solutions.”

The reported 11.7% share of energy consumption supplied by renewable sources in 2025 provides a useful marker for the group’s operational efforts. TCL’s framing at IFA is that experience with green electricity and self-generated solar power in manufacturing can be carried into product development for homeowners.

An Integrated Consumer Offer

The exhibition brings together TCL Industries and TCL Technology across three core sectors, smart devices, display and clean energy. This combination gives the company an opportunity to show how consumer electronics and energy systems can function in closer alignment, particularly as homes adopt more connected products.

TCL’s wider product range includes TVs, audio systems, home appliances, mobile devices, smart glasses and commercial displays. At IFA, the inclusion of energy products extends that ecosystem into the systems that supply and manage household power, rather than limiting connected-home thinking to screens and devices.

The company describes its strategy as a bridge between advanced manufacturing, operational ESG initiatives and smart technologies. For visitors, the Inspiration Habitat will offer a tangible demonstration of how that bridge could work in a residential setting, from photovoltaic generation on the roof to the management of heating and electricity use indoors.

A Practical Energy Vision

TCL’s IFA 2026 showcase presents a clear case for treating domestic energy as part of the wider connected-home experience. Solar panels, storage, heat pumps and digitally managed demand all have distinct roles, but the company’s display focuses on their potential value when brought together.

By pairing new photovoltaic products with a central management platform and experience drawn from its own industrial operations, TCL is offering a well-rounded account of how energy technology can become more accessible within everyday life. The Inspiration Habitat will be open to visitors and media at Messe Berlin from 4 to 8 September 2026.
