Faith In Nature is at the forefront of sustainability in the natural beauty world, and was the world’s first brand to appoint Nature as a director in 2022
Leaders in ethical personal care since 1974, Faith In Nature, have launched their first ever Crowdcube campaign, as part of their mission to make positive environmental choices accessible to everyone, every day.
The sustainable brand, who made headlines last year for being the first company in the world to appoint Nature to their board of directors, launched their first ever Crowdcube campaign with a goal of £550,000 and have already overfunded at £656,326 (119%).
Faith In Nature’s creative director and co-founder of Nature on the Board, Simeon Rose, says “We’re thrilled to see the initial response to our crowdfunding efforts, and to know that so many people believe in us and want to help us on our mission to do good for both people and the planet. There’s still time to join us on our journey, we truly believe this isn’t just an opportunity to invest in a commercially successful brand, but in everything we stand for too.”
Proving that sustainability isn’t a fleeting trend, research found that 91% of shoppers agree sustainable packaging, doing social good, and a brand’s ethical reputation are all important factors when deciding who to spend with.
Catering to eco-conscious consumers, Faith In Nature were one of the first to introduce refillables back in the 1970s and they’ve sky-rocketed in popularity since. Now their extensive offering includes a range of 1L-25L refillable hair care, body care and laundry products, as well as their popular zero-waste collection of shampoo, conditioner, and soap bars. They also have hundreds of refill stations across the UK, making it easier for their customers to shop refillable locally. As standard, Faith In Nature use fully recycled and recyclable plastic across the majority of their products, and has done so since 1999, saving over 100,000 kilos of plastic. The brand has also proudly saved over 100,000 kilos of plastic through recyclable packaging and planted over 33,000 trees with TreeSisters charity.
The crowdfunding efforts are part of Faith In Nature’s mission to to continue taking even bigger and better steps to reduce their environmental impact, such as seeking out greener ways to manufacture, sustainable product innovation and helping to create eco-friendly options to suit modern shopping habits.
The news of the Crowdcube campaign comes following their announcement of B Corp status, cementing their commitment to continuing to be a force for good. The brand has also pledged to use their investment to “continually reimagine what it means to be a green company in today’s world”, using funds to move to a new site for greener manufacturing, creating products to better suit a circular economy and accelerating the rate at which they reduce their plastic footprint. Last year alone they successfully reduced the energy required in their manufacturing process by 40%, and plan to reduce by an additional 20% in the next 18 months, making it an incredibly exciting time to join Faith In Nature.
