A new sustainable brand finder has been launched to empower consumers to make more
eco-friendly choices without having to spend hours deciphering the details of each
product.

The team behind GoodPicker finds and validates brands for you,
so you don’t have to waste time searching if brands ship to your country or are vegan.
GoodPicker, founded by Marina Ollé, builds on her research skills as a former scientist. It
mixes two of her passions: sharing educational content and empowering people to live
healthier and more sustainable lives.
Created to make sustainability products mainstream, GoodPicker showcases brands using
business as a force for good.
“We want to make it easier for consumers to find brands that are better for their health and
the planet without having to spend thousands of hours researching”, said Marina.
She added: “With so many emerging brands out there to choose from, sustainability is
finally becoming something we can all do. Still, it’s not always easy to find those hidden
gem brands. By arranging and filtering the information, we hope to make sustainability
more accessible to the average consumer”.
The platform guides customers through their sustainable journey, from identifying ethical
brands to avoid greenwashing and navigate the fast-growing sustainable market.
It is seeking to tap into surging demand for sustainable products, as seen by the
skyrocketing number of online searches for eco-friendly items. According to a global
survey, sustainability is now more important to consumers than ever before. However, lack
of clear information is one of the main barriers for buyers to adopt a more sustainable
lifestyle.
“Our mission is to provide high-quality information to the average consumer who doesn’t
have time to research sustainable options so that they can make better choices. Thanks to
our unique offering, we hope GoodPicker will become the place to go for people looking to
discover brands that are changing the relationship between business and nature. Our
ultimate goal is to help users find sustainable brands while simultaneously educating them
on health and environmental issues”, said Marina.
You can find clear information about each brand on the platform, making it easier to spot
how a product was made, where it was made, and its accreditations.
Besides, users can see which brands deliver straight to their door and fit the requirements
that are important to them, such as locally produced, vegan, or organic ingredients only.
The brands are classified according to the countries their ship to, their certifications, the
products they sell, and other parameters significant for the buyers. For each brand,
consumers can access informational content on why a listed brand is better for them than
conventional alternatives and what the specific brand is doing for the planet.
The platform now includes personal care, homeware, and household brands, intending to
expand to other areas shortly. Examples of products you can find are non-toxic cleaning
products, refillable deodorants, chemical-free mattresses, or tree-free toilet paper.
Currently, users can find information on more than 50 brands selling more than 750
products, with new ones being added daily.
“The idea of this business came from a problem I faced when looking for bed sheets
without chemicals. Some brands didn’t deliver to my country, some showed ambiguous
information, and some didn’t have the proper accreditations. I spent five days, hundreds of
tabs open, and countless hours in front of the computer until I finally found bed linen that
was good for my skin and delivered to my door”, said Marina.
“The business has grown out of a sheer demand from consumers who want to spend their
money on ethical businesses and products that don’t harm their health or the
environment – and GoodPicker is very excited to help buyers find them”.
