Green GSM Philippines plans to hand over 1,000 electric vehicles to driver partners during its Green GSM Platform Driver Partner Festival, scheduled for 12 to 14 September 2026 in Las Piñas City and at the company’s depots. Expected to attract up to 5,000 current and prospective driver partners, the event is positioned as the company’s largest such gathering in the Philippines. The vehicle handover will expand the fleet available to partners using the Green GSM platform, while the festival will introduce rental options designed to lower the entry cost of electric vehicle operations. Green GSM also intends to launch its Global Green GSM Driver Partner Community in the Philippines as part of the programme.
A Larger Electric Fleet
The handover of the first 1,000 electric vehicles is the central feature of the festival, which will take place at The Tent in Las Piñas City alongside activities at Green GSM depots. The vehicles are intended to provide driver partners with additional operating options and support Green GSM’s service capacity as it serves customers across key urban areas.
For the company, fleet expansion is linked to a wider shift towards green transport in the Philippines. More electric vehicles in service can help broaden access to lower-emission mobility while supporting a more consistent supply of vehicles for taxi and premium taxi journeys.

Lowering Entry Barriers
Green GSM is building on its cooperation with VinFast by presenting a vehicle rental model for driver partners. Initial investment starts from PHP 5,000, an approach intended to make electric vehicle operations more accessible to drivers seeking to enter the platform or change from conventional vehicles.
Eligible partners can select from the four-seat Herio Green and VF 5, as well as the seven-seat Limo Green. The all-electric models are intended for mobility service operations, with Green GSM identifying energy, maintenance and servicing costs as areas where the vehicles can offer advantages over petrol vehicles in the same segment.
The support offer includes free charging for pioneering partners and VinFast warranty coverage of up to seven years or 160,000 km for the Limo Green and VF 5/Herio Green. These measures are designed to reduce operating costs over the life of the vehicle and strengthen the business case for drivers considering an electric model.
Practical Support For Drivers
The festival will give driver partners an opportunity to test-drive VinFast electric vehicles, ask Green GSM questions about vehicle operations and review relevant policies and benefits. The company will also provide assistance with registration procedures for drivers planning to offer services with electric vehicles.
Its “5 Green Promises” commitment informs the programme, with emphasis on vehicle access, operating models and sustainable livelihood opportunities. The stated focus on professional service and practical support recognises that drivers need clear information and viable day-to-day operating arrangements when considering a move to electric mobility.
Green GSM’s current Philippine service portfolio includes Green GSM Car and Green GSM Limo, a seven-seat premium taxi service. The company operates electric taxi services in Metro Manila in Luzon, Central Visayas and Mindanao, addressing different passenger mobility requirements across those markets.
Building A Driver Community
The planned Global Green GSM Driver Partner Community in the Philippines will serve as a platform connecting driver partners across the wider Green GSM ecosystem. Members will be able to exchange experience of operating electric vehicles and providing mobility services, receive updates on information and policies, and engage with fellow drivers.
The initiative gives the expansion a community dimension alongside vehicle deployment. Shared operational knowledge can help drivers become more familiar with the practical demands of electric service vehicles, from charging arrangements to passenger service, while supporting a connected professional network.
Green GSM is also pursuing partnerships with local taxi operators through flexible and cost-efficient programmes. Alongside direct operations, these arrangements are intended to broaden the pathways through which taxi providers can participate in the transition to electric vehicles.
