Each person within your organisation will have access to over 150 interactively designed, ‘green’ video based micro-learning courses.
Going Green officially launched in July 2022, in the Houses of Parliament, with important guests, including scientists, experts and sustainable influencers, in attendance. Since then, the Going Green Team have worked hard to build a library of comprehensive courses that make up the Going Green Academy.
The Academy is designed to educate all throughout each organisation’s teams through the ‘Vital’
courses. In-depth training can be accessed through ‘Veteran’ courses, and those wanting further
training, one-to-one consultations with one of our experts will help organisations gain this through
the bespoke ‘Visionary’ courses.
As part of your welcome to the Going Green Academy, and to further participating organisations
commitment to educate ‘en masse’, every organisation that signs up to the Academy will have the
opportunity to nominate a school in their area to receive free educational resources for children.
These resources will contain courses designed to teach children about climate change, sustainability,
biodiversity and the environment.
Going Green is committed to protecting the planet and are passionate about creating sustainable
change.
Knowledge is an important driver of change, which is where the Going Green Academy
comes in to educate. Dr. Paul Beers, The Head of Sustainability at Going Green told us, “Teaching the
fundamentals is essential in influencing the culture of an organisation and helps establish businesses
as progressive and environmentally aware.”
The Academy is not just there to help people be more sustainable in the workplace but also at home.
Co-Founder, Craig Smith said, “We’re all aware of climate change but many people feel
overwhelmed and don’t feel able to make personal impact. Mainstream Media doesn’t report on the
crisis in the way that it should and therefore people are left feeling confused. The Going Green
Academy empowers everyone to take the steps within their organisation alongside sustainable
changes that can be made in their own lives and homes.”
Each course within the academy will be broken down into four lessons with three dynamic modules.
The engaging and immersive lessons will contain a mixture of both videos and quizzes that can be
done quickly and efficiently and should take no more than 15 minutes a week. Co-Founder Cheryl
Hughes explained “We are living in the age of Netflix and TikTok, and people want high impact, bite-
sized pieces of information, so it made sense for us to deliver the training in a similar contemporary
style.”
With now upfront payments, a monthly rolling subscription and no large financial sign off,
organisations can join the Going Green Academy immediately. There is also no per student cost as
the training stays at the same price whether you enrol 1,000 employees or 10,000. This is to ensure
that the Going Green Academy training gives maximum impact in the quickest possible time.
The Going Green Academy works on a monthly rolling subscription model with no upfront payments
and no need for large financial sign-off – training can begin immediately. Moreover, the subscription
service doesn’t charge per student; the cost remains the same whether training 1000 or 10,000
people, ensuring maximum impact in the quickest possible time.
“We’re very excited about working with organisations throughout the UK, so that together we can
make real positive change.”
