Alupro to Champion Aerosol Recycling at Paris Packaging Week

London, UK – Alupro will highlight the latest progress in aerosol recycling at Paris Packaging Week, with Executive Director Tom Giddings set to address delegates at the event taking place at Expo Porte de Versailles on 5–6 February.

The international exhibition brings together hundreds of exhibitors and thousands of industry professionals to explore global developments in aerosol, cosmetics and premium beverage packaging.

As part of the two-day programme, Giddings will deliver a presentation on the UK Aerosol Recycling Initiative (UKARI), Alupro’s collaborative programme aimed at improving aerosol recycling performance across the UK. The session, titled “Spray, squirt and shake: the key to aerosols recycling”, will focus on recent trials designed to measure the impact of targeted communications campaigns on consumer recycling behaviour.

The trials were carried out across four UK locations in partnership with SUEZ recycling and recovery UK (SUEZ) and tested how bespoke messaging can influence awareness, confidence and participation in aerosol recycling.

During the session, Giddings will present early findings from the trials, demonstrating why education is a critical driver of improved capture rates. He will also showcase newly developed communications materials, outline the next phase of the UKARI programme and explain how brands can participate in future activity.

Attendees will be encouraged to consider how early involvement in collaborative, sector-led initiatives can deliver tangible commercial and environmental benefits, while supporting broader sustainability and circular economy objectives.

Commenting ahead of the event, Giddings said:
“Across the aerosol supply chain, there is growing pressure to demonstrate meaningful progress on recycling. Our work through UKARI shows that education and awareness initiatives are essential to driving positive behavioural change.

“Paris Packaging Week provides a valuable opportunity to share these early insights and invite more brands to help shape the future of aerosol recycling.”
