Wales’ Clean Energy Future

Bute Energy, a leading Welsh onshore wind developer, has recently attracted a landmark £600 million investment from Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners (CIP), highlighting Wales’ increasing ability to attract major international investors. 

Bute Energy is currently developing a network of ten onshore wind farms across Wales, with a total generating capacity of 2.2GW – enough to power 2.25 million homes. 

Stuart George, Managing Director of Bute Energy, highlighted the significance of this investment, stating: “Wales has a tremendous opportunity to lead the UK’s clean energy transition. At Bute Energy we’re proud to be working with trusted global investors Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners to unlock a £3bn investment in home-grown energy.
