Electric Vehicles: Yadea launches new E-bike partnership with Huan Huan

A new partnership has been announced to create a series of electric vehicles has been for Hangzhou, China.

Yadea, a global leader in the development and manufacturing of electric two-wheel electric vehicles, including motorcycles, bicycles, and scooters, has unveiled their partnership with Huan Huan. The new series, which features on-demand electric refuelling through Gogoro’s electric battery network, can be recharged in seconds at ‘Swap and Go’ charging stations, open 24-hours a day across the region.

“Yadea is proud to unveil the Huan Huan series powered by the Gogoro Network,” said Dong Jinggui, chairman of Yadea Technology Group Co. Ltd. “Gogoro’s leading battery swapping system delivers a new standard for electric refuelling that reduces consumer anxiety in battery life and range, battery availability and overall usage costs. With the partnership of Gogoro, we will work together to bring green travel to more users around the world.”

The Gogoro-developed batteries possess a range of up to 100km, allowing short-distance commutes for up to a week. The batteries fitted to Yadea’s new electric vehicle series have internal safety protection software, intelligent battery management, and paraffin wax thermal insulation. They have an IP67 dustproof and waterproof rating.

“Our partnership represents a key milestone in sustainable urban mobility in China, the largest two-wheeler market in the world,” said Horace Luke, founder and CEO at Gogoro Inc. “Together, we are bringing a new generation of urban two-wheeler transportation that includes Gogoro battery swapping and the introduction of two new Yadea vehicles that are part of a larger Gogoro-powered portfolio.”

Yadea claim sales from their electric fleet have saved the equivalent use of 9.07 million tons of petrol, eliminating 31.06 million tons of CO2 emissions (the same as planting 31.06 billion trees). Yadea insist they will continue making their products more efficient and user-friendly, particularly in terms of charging and safety, to better the uptake of electric vehicles globally.
