A multi-business collaborative effort in the New York City area has launched the New York Energy and Environmental organization.
The new organization will focus on energy efficiency implementation, design, and legal compliance at both state and local levels for commercial and residential clients in the New York City area.
Partners in the creation of the new firm include Solar Energy Systems, New York Engineers, and Lotus Biosecurity, with backing from investment firm Eaglestone LLC.
“Regulations around energy usage and carbon emissions are changing and ESG ratings are becoming more important to your average business and commercial real estate owner,” said Andru Coren, CEO of Eaglestone.
“We gathered the best engineers and energy experts and have created a business model that makes energy efficient upgrades easy.
“We take you from consultation to design to implementation with an all-in-one team and turnkey solutions. “
New York Energy and Environmental (NYE&E) will offer services including data analysis and site surveying, project design and management, and Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) consultations.
‘Energy audits’ are also available for free to new customers who are looking to improve their energy efficiency, energy savings, and regulation compliance.

The news comes as New York City also looks to ban gas hook-ups for buildings which are under seven storeys in height by the end of 2023. The new legislation will require them to go electric, signalling a greater shift towards green energy alternatives for the state area.
