Emergency food supplier will now make products available in the UK in the wake of COVID-19

An American manufacturer producing emergency food supplies has announced its expansion to the UK.

ReadyWise’s mission is to help customers be prepared for emergency situations, providing a range of freeze-dried and dehydrated meals that have a shelf life of up to 25 years.

The products, which are now available to purchase on Amazon UK, only require the addition of boiling water before being ready to eat.

“We are passionate about helping people getting prepared in times where supply-chain breakdowns, disruptive weather, and new regional lock-downs in mainland Europe, calls on all citizens to be prepared,” said Kim Berknov, Managing Director of ReadyWise UK.

“Simply put, it is smart to get prepared. Preparedness is a fast-growing theme in UK.

“This has been fuelled by a combination of Brexit and Covid-19 that have caused both fuel, energy and food shortages in various parts of the country.”

The company has a goal of preparing more than one million households for emergencies this year.

A line of ‘premium’ emergency food supply products will be featured in ReadyWise’s UK launch, including the so-called ‘Grab & Go Bucket’ and fruit and vegetable packs containing over 100 servings.

With the emergence of the Delta variant of COVID-19 and the climate crisis, ReadyWise is urging people more than ever to take steps to be prepared by having emergency food ready.
