VinFast is expanding its Middle East electric vehicle presence through a UAE partnership model spanning vehicle distribution, aftersales support and charging access. The Vietnam-based manufacturer has paired an exclusive dealership agreement with Al Tayer Motors with a charging-focused memorandum of understanding with PlusX Electric. Its customer proposition includes a 10-year or 200,000-km vehicle warranty, a 10-year unlimited-kilometre battery warranty and five years or 100,000 km of free servicing for the all-electric mid-size VF 8. The programme reflects the practical infrastructure and service commitments required as EV ownership develops across the region.

A Partnership Led Market Entry

VinFast’s approach recognises that establishing an electric vehicle brand in a new market requires more than importing and selling cars. In the UAE, the company is building an ownership ecosystem around local organisations with established knowledge of customers, regulations and automotive operations.

Al Tayer Motors became VinFast’s exclusive UAE dealer through an agreement signed in 2024. Established in 1982, the automotive group has sales, service and parts centres across the country, supported by 2,700 employees, e-commerce capabilities and a dedicated app. The dealer also planned to establish a network of VinFast facilities across the UAE, extending the manufacturer’s local service provision.

For a newer EV entrant, this type of established local network offers a credible foundation for both vehicle sales and long-term customer care. It places maintenance, parts and service access alongside the initial retail experience, a meaningful consideration for drivers assessing a new electric brand.

Warranty Commitments Support Ownership

VinFast has attached substantial warranty and service provisions to its Middle East offer. The company’s 10-year or 200,000-km vehicle warranty and 10-year unlimited-kilometre battery warranty are designed to support confidence throughout the ownership period. For the VF 8, five years or 100,000 km of free service adds a further practical element to the offer.

These commitments also create a clear requirement for dependable aftersales capacity. Service locations must be able to manage routine maintenance and customer support consistently, while parts availability and trained technicians become central to the brand experience.

VinFast’s UAE strategy positions its dealer relationship as part of that delivery model. The combination of sales, servicing and parts capability provides a route to support customers beyond the point of purchase, while the planned dedicated facilities bring the manufacturer’s EV range into an established automotive service environment.

Charging Access Takes Shape

In February 2026, VinFast Middle East signed a memorandum of understanding with PlusX Electric, a Dubai Electricity and Water Authority-approved EV charging and electric mobility solutions provider in the UAE. The agreement broadens the company’s regional focus from dealership and workshop provision to charging accessibility and roadside support.

The partners are exploring Portable EV Charging Pods, on-demand mobile charging and emergency charging as elements of EV roadside assistance. Their discussions also cover scalable charging and mobile-support services for commercial and fleet customers, alongside digital integration intended to streamline charging bookings and service updates.

Charging convenience remains closely tied to the everyday usability of electric vehicles, particularly for drivers travelling beyond fixed charging locations or managing fleet operations. Mobile and emergency charging options could provide an added layer of support as the regional charging ecosystem continues to develop.

Global Aftersales Standards

The UAE partnerships sit within VinFast’s wider international aftersales plans. At its 2026 Global Business Conference, the company signed memorandums of understanding with 29 aftersales partners across its international markets, including the Middle East.

Those partners are expected to establish EV service workshops that meet VinFast’s global standards. VinFast aims to expand to more than 1,100 service workshops globally in 2026, supported by standardised technician training and certification, consistent operating procedures and quality controls.

The company’s parts network also targets delivery of common spare parts within 24 hours in key markets. This emphasis on workshop standards, skills and logistics illustrates the operational work behind a global EV rollout, where reliability depends on service systems as much as the vehicle itself.

Building Confidence In Electric Mobility

VinFast’s Middle East expansion presents a useful example of how EV manufacturers can combine global product ambitions with local delivery capability. Al Tayer Motors provides a UAE automotive distribution and service base, while PlusX Electric brings charging and electric mobility expertise to the programme.

As EV adoption gains momentum across the Middle East, robust ownership support will be an important differentiator for brands entering the market. VinFast’s focus on warranties, servicing, charging access and local partnerships offers a considered route towards making electric vehicle ownership more dependable over the long term.
